Highlights of experience in Employment & Pensions in Hungary

  • Nissan on employment issues as part of the pan-European restructuring process spanning 12 countries including Czech Republic, Hungary, Poland, Russia and Slovakia in CEE. We advised Nissan on employee transfer issues, on scheduling timeline of the transfer, identifying legal implications of applying local TUPE regulations and commenting on redundancy costs.
  • Microsoft on the implementation of the integration project following the acquisition of the mobile devices business of Nokia in Hungary. This included advice on new contractual documentation and on transfer of undertakings, assistance in the consultation process with the trade unions, benefit scheme integration and assistance in the mass redundancy process triggered by the integration project.
  • Johnson & Johnson’s Consumer Products and MD&D divisions on a full range of issues from termination cases, restructuring, bonus policy and day-to-day legal advice.
  • Samsung entities in Hungary for over 26 years in several areas, including employment law.  We have represented the client in a number of high profile employment litigation with success.
  • Major energy company on various HR matters, included preparing a new data privacy policy, advice on benefits and providing litigation advice in labour law, securing a victory before the Curia and winning a high profile employment case concerning the post-employment restrictive agreement of a former manager at the company.
